La Villa Luciole

Access is a little difficult, it is about fifteen kilometers from Melong. The last section, hard to indicate, is a stony track easily accessible in 4x4, especially in the rainy season. We are rewarded when we arrive at the place. A charming guest house welcomes you in a bucolic environment. You will be satisfied with local products: honey, cheese, vegetables of the garden...

The restful place has a lot of charm. Very flowered, has a house waterfall and a basin where you can refresh yourself. The immersion in the middle of nature is guaranteed. The altitude brings a little freshness (bring a sweater for walks and evenings), but you will be able to warm up by spending your evening by the fire.

The view on the Mount Manengouba is splendid. The monkeys swinging from branch to branch will distract you. Beware, they are a bit of a freeloader and, if you allow it, will give you a free delousing. At night, under the mosquito net, you will enjoy a sound and light show, with the cries of the animals and the famous fireflies that offer a unique spectacle.

Excellent meals, European and African cuisine, local vegetables, or even from the villa's garden. A must-taste is the cheese, a kind of tomme matured on site. The table is friendly and shared with the other guests. The friendly and helpful staff will make it a point of honor to make your stay enjoyable.
